MIZUHODORI

An artist and traveler.
Born in Hokkaido, Japan. She loves nature and art.

From an early age, she has a strong interest in the creatures and nature of the earth. She likes them too much and wants to contribute to them. Not because she thinks of good or evil in general, but simply because she loves them personally.

With that in mind, she went to a university to become a wildlife researcher, and was excited with research and science. However, she wondered "as a researcher, can I use my energy to the fullest?"　Other than to be a researcher, she sought a way that suits her. Before graduation, she reconfirmed that one of the things she was absorbed in and could enjoy energizing was art. After graduating, She began showing her works on websites and SNS.

From 2019, she learned that she will face her inner self and let go of the heavy things she had. She realized that when she feels good, she can spread good feelings to the people around her. She started to act on the basis of Gokigen (Good feelings) without sticking to methods.

As of January 1,2021, she thinks "By making myself comfortable, I will makes people and the earth comfortable and enrich."

"For now, I doing it by creation, expression and traveling."

She imagines creating ...3D works, sculptures, installations works, videos, picture books, manga, huge murals, wildlife sanctuaries, and a fund for research.

ミズホドリ

旅する絵描きアーティスト。
北海道生まれ。人生の主成分は生きものとアート。

幼い頃から地球の生きもの・自然に強く興味を持つ。好きすぎて、地球に貢献したい。善し悪しではなくて勝手に好きで、消えていくのが寂しいから、そうならないように何かしたい。

･･･という思いから、野生生物の研究者になろうとある専門分野の学科のある大学へ行き、調査や研究がどんなものか経験し心躍る。しかし、研究者として自分のエネルギーを思うぞんぶん出し切れるか？という疑問も感じるようになる。

大学卒業が近づいた頃、自分が夢中になって楽しくエネルギーを出せるもののひとつは絵を描くことだなと再確認。卒業後、描いた絵を公表していく活動を始める。その後しばらく、迷走しながら絵を描きつつ野鳥や牛を眺める生活をする。

2019年6月頃から自分の内側と向き合うことを知り、自分で背負い込んでた重たいものを少しずつ手放していく。自分がいい気分になることで周囲にもいい気分を広げられるとわかり、方法に固執しないでゴキゲンを基準に行動していくようになる。

2021年1月現在は「自分を心地よくゴキゲンにすることで自分以外の生きものも地球も心地よくしていく。豊かになるしする。それを今のところは創作や表現や旅することで実行している途中。」

いまのところ、紙・キャンバス・壁などに絵を描いたり、粘土をこねて何かを創るのが楽しい。歌うことも好き。

今後つくりたいものとして、
抱きしめられるサイズ以上の立体作品、空間まるごと使った作品、映像、絵本、漫画、声や歌を使った作品、野生生物の生息地確保のための基金、調査・研究向けの基金
などなどを妄想している。
